“20 Minutes That Changed Music”

Due Influence – Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara)
Born September 5, 1946 – Died November 24, 1991
British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen.

Rami Malek On Jimmy Fallon

Side By Side

Guys – look at this – side by side

One of the greatest rock performances in history – it’s considered maybe the greatest – for some reasons our producers [Brian May and Roger Taylor] thought it would be a good idea to start with that [the performance of Freddie Mercury and Queen at Live Aid] on day one.

They must have a reason for doing this because if halfway through this and we suck, they’ll just pull the plug on the whole productions, pack it up, and go home.

Save 60 million dollars.

When I got the call sheet for day two, it was like winning an Oscar.

Rami Malek Discusses His Freddie Mercury Transformation

Rami Malek chats with Jimmy about Mr. Robot coming to an end and the key to his successful Freddie Mercury impression in the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic.

Freddie Mercury – Legacy

As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range.

As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Killer Queen”, “Somebody to Love”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “We Are the Champions”.

Queen at Live Aid – 20 Minutes That Changed Music

“Queen opening to massive cheers with “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and the antics of lead singer Freddie Mercury who got the entire Wembley crowd clapping in unison to “Radio Ga Ga” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” before singing along, word-for-word, to “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions”.

“Things Have Changed”

“Things Have Changed” – Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan (Robert Allen Zimmerman)
Born May 24, 1941
American poetic songwriter, singer, painter, writer, and Nobel prize laureate.

The “Wonder Boys” is a 2000 comedy-drama film directed by Curtis Hanson. Hanson had been a fan of Bob Dylan’s music since childhood and a great admirer of his soundtrack for Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

Bob Dylan admired Hanson’s previous film, L.A. Confidential and after much convincing, screened 90 minutes of rough footage from the Wonder Boys. Hanson picked Dylan because, as he said, “[w]ho knows more about being a Wonder Boy and the trap it can be, about the expectations and the fear of repeating yourself?”

Bob Dylan wrote and performed “Things Have Changed” Dylan and released it as a single on May 1, 2000.

“Things Have Changed” won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

The director of Wonder Boys, Curtis Hanson, also directed the music video for “Things Have Changed”, using new footage of Dylan and editing it with sequences from Wonder Boys to suggest that Dylan was appearing in the film.

“Things Have Changed” – Bob Dylan – Awards

“Things Have Changed” is a song from the film Wonder Boys, written and performed by Bob Dylan[1] and released as a single on May 1, 2000 and won both the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
